This project aimed to modernize their existing application while continuing to act as the cornerstone of the business. In addition to creating a faster and more advanced app version, our client wanted to enhance accessibility by adding a futuristic mobile App.
The Client, a Big Four Consulting firm, approached CirrusLabs needing a modernized solution. Our client was looking for a strategic partner who could provide a new website, improve their overall user experience with a new UI/UX, and upgrade their existing systems. The project was to give their existing platform a much-needed edge and provide the technical expertise to help them stay ahead in a competitive ecosystem.
This transformation was one of the first of many that the company adopted. This platform was to become the standard for all other applications and, eventually, link to the other internal solutions used by the organization.
Their legacy application was time-consuming, even for the smallest tasks. Our client wanted to enhance the efficiency of their employees while adhering to stringent timelines. The integrations within the older app were tedious, and with changing technology, the newer third-party apps were more advanced compared to the older systems. The newer application brings in efficiency along with a sense of ease and comfort, enabling employees to focus on more strategic tasks.
CirrusLabs introduced the concept of Team in a Box, which helped us to ace the modernization project and deliver in aggressive timelines. This helped our client to stay within the planned budget. The client’s workforce was empowered to deliver based on agile methodologies of software development that helped with managing their deliverables. This significantly enhanced their efficiency and ensured project milestones were met as planned.
We leveraged technologies like Angular JS framework for the front-end portal, Python as a wrapper layer between backend and frontend. Microsoft technology stack was used in backend. Dot Net API was used for rest API and Azure SQL as a database.
Angular used MVC pattern to implement the UI and backend rest API uses services and repository pattern. The tech stack with a skilled team meant that the app’s demanding requirements were delivered on time.
App Modernization has been extremely beneficial to our client with an immediate result of time savings. The workforce could now complete a task in around 83% lesser time. With over 60,000 employees, the company was already making huge profits from improved efficiencies and productivity which helped their employees cover more ground than before with their task lists. The overall benefits from adoption of the modernized app boosted their market share drastically.
The culmination of this project will see numerous apps being integrated with the Modernized state of the art platform. This is designed to be the be a one-stop shop where the end users can complete all their requirements. It is planned to become the epicenter of AI Analytics and Insights through the data collected.
The redesigned App’s dashboard provided a comprehensive, bird's-eye view of all data and integrations within the ecosystem. This will help stakeholders gain clarity and make informed decisions about the organization's processes and operations with AI-driven KPI’s.
Optimization was performed across the platform, allowing current users to benefit from the optimization in terms of time and efficiency. Every aspect of the App, from user interface to backend processes, was scrutinized, and best practices were implemented to ensure a seamless and efficient user experience through a continuous feedback cycle from the client.
